Symaga Group received a prize in terms of Prevention of Occupational Risks, 2015 “Escolástico Zaldívar” award, granted by Fraternidad to its associates. This award recognizes the company and employees strong effort in terms of prevention.
Symaga Group has invested in prevention during last years, and initiated a very ambitious plan in 2014. The plan is based on 3 main objectives. The first one consists of the worker’s own awareness, encouraged by Staff and annual-speech given by Fraternidad-Muprespa. The second objective is the examination of processes of production to detect any workplace ergonomics. And, as third objective, Symaga is developing a continuous improvement dedicated to employees and staff through suggestion boxes.
To reach the plan, Symaga Group proposes a strategy including multiple and different actions, including ongoing training, with many courses as Basic ORP with a duration of 60 hours. The automation of processes as sheet turning, loading and unloading of wire rod coil, or cleaning are necessaries aspects, as Symaga Group considers the order essential to avoid any accident. Vacuums of painting area, scrap metal containers or band saw are homologated with CE certified, among others.
Symaga Group appreciates Fraternidad award and is very thankful with its employees, reiterating its Prevention concept as a daily job to eradicate accidents before it happens.
